What is the Platinum / Early Platinum Screen?
The Better2Know Platinum and Early Platinum Screens for STIs and STDs are our most comprehensive screens. Both screens look for the same STIs. The Early Platinum Screen uses a different testing method for some of tests, which means it can detect the presence of HIV, Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C sooner after potential exposure. What samples are required?
The screen needs a blood and urine sample. There are no painful or embarrassing swabs required. There are no fasting requirements, but please make sure that you can produce a urine sample during your appointment.
How will I receive my results?
We will call you with your results when they are all back from the laboratory. If you would prefer a different method (email, SMS, or to phone us) please let us know when you book your appointment.
What if I test positive for an STI?
Do not worry. We are here to help you. We have a panel of doctors who are experts in Sexual Health who can help you. Our patient services team is available at evenings and weekends to help you with answers to your questions and to discuss options available to you. Most STIs are curable, we will help you to get the medicine that you need quickly and discreetly.
