What is the Instant Four Screen?
Better2Know’s Instant STI testing will put your mind at ease regarding your sexual health status, providing confidential results in under 30 minutes. The Better2Know Instant Four Screen provides fast results and efficient testing for four common sexually transmitted infections. This screen requires a 28-day period of incubation. So, you can get tested just four weeks after having sex.
Which infections are tested for?
Our Instant Four Screen will detect:
- HIV I/II and the p24 antigen
- Syphilis
- Chlamydia
- Gonorrhoea
You can combine this screen with additional Instant tests, such as Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C.
What samples are required?
This screen will require blood and swab samples for swift and efficient analysis. HIV and Syphilis infections will be identified in your blood sample; Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea infections will be detected in your swab sample. The blood sample is collected using a small prick of the finger – making this test ideal for those who are afraid of needles.
How will I receive my results?
Results will be available less than 30 minutes after your test and will be presented at your confidential appointment. Our private clinic will provide a copy of the Better2Know Rapid Test Results Report following analysis of your samples.
What if I test positive for an STI?
If you test positive for Chlamydia or Gonorrhoea, a private prescription will be provided at your confidential appointment. For reactive HIV and Syphilis tests, Better2Know will conduct confirmatory analysis of a venous blood sample. Neither service requires additional payment from yourself.
